Preschool

Apparently Anika's teacher occasionally posts things on a preschool blog she has. I just checked it out and found this photo. I was so excited to see a little glimpse of her little life she goes off and lives without me. I wish I could put a critter cam on her head!

Best Friends

Never Again!

Shall I tell you of the great wrestle I had with my car seat cover? It lasted days and my house looked like this...

My cover wasn't totally hideous until it got recalled for an issue with the batting coming out and choking kids. They no longer made my original black and sent me a green plaid one instead, which I used the last months Anika rode in it. I decided to attempt recovering it, which involved taking the entire thing apart thread by thread, making pattern pieces and reassembling. And that was after the hours and hours I spent looking for fabric I liked online.

It was one of those projects that seems simple enough and then halfway through, you regret it. I love it now it's finished but during the process I wanted to throw it off the deck and just buy a brand new car seat.

But phew! It's done!

My Daughter

What does little Anika do while not engaged in writing her letters or drawing creepy, symmetrical crop circle type things? I had to take a picture of that thing she drew in this bottom picture, the one with dots in each quadrant and two lines at the bottom. Are aliens communicating through her?

Well, sometimes she's busy playing in her dragon nest and sitting on her dragon eggs. This whole dragon thing has been big with Emmet and Anika (And Bemy!) lately.

And sometimes she's busy licking each piece of popcorn only to discard it to the cup holder of her movie kiddie combo.

But while she's not busy with all those things, she requests to make funny faces and have me take pictures of them. Then she likes to upload them on the computer and laugh. Where did she come from?




Certainly, it has nothing to do with her mother.


I put this same striped shirt on today and she immediately told me that the dark blue stripe was called indigo. What the?

Halloween

Have you ever in your life seen Bemy dress up?! She was the tooth fairy and gave the kids tooth brushes and sprinkled them with glitter.

The corn maze was a hit.

I don't know which was more fun, watching the kids ride this thing or watching Janna pull it. Nice form!

There were some pig races.

When I asked Anika what she wanted her big pumpkin to look like, she made this face-
