Anika was pretty irate I didn't have a new batch of grapes this morning. She said she would write 'grapes' on the grocery list. On one side: graps. On the other side: go shoping! punch the mom! I think she likes grapes.
Other happenings: We just had a gorgeous desert thunderstorm. Tons of lightning and thunder and the smell of smoke from some fires on the Arizona strip. We opened the windows and sat by them, breathing in the moist, cool air. It felt so weird to breathe in air that was cool and moving. It feels like the desert came to life and it brought a little life back into me. It was just today I was thinking what wouldn't I give to just feel and hear a breeze in a tree today! It was a wonderful storm and reminded me of my July evening wedding and the storm I prayed for. I had never prayed for something that little in my life. But I got it! Tonight's storm felt like a little wink and nod. The world is beautiful. I love you all. I was especially thinking of you, Andrea, and how much you also NEED desert thunderstorms.
