Mike Makes it Home!

We arrrived in Darien yesterday, after a four hour drive from Maine. We all were a little exhausted, but were happy to have dinner on the water. Stay tuned for the next update.

A Dip in the Atlantic

This water was freezing.  Can you tell?  Although the water was cold, we couldn't resist jumping into the Atlantic.  The salt water felt fabulous.  We had a great lunch on the beach, left soon after due to a little rain.  We ended the evening with shopping, dining, ice cream and jazz on the cobblestone streets of Portland, Maine.  Tomorrow, 4 hour drive to Connecticut (which Mike understated, once again).  Good night, talk to you from Darien.

The "Maine" way to butter corn!

Step 1.  Put thick pats of butter onto small pieces of sliced bread.
Step 2. Apply buttered bread to corn on the cob.

Step 3.  Rotate and enjoy!

LOBSTERS AND LIGHTHOUSES

This Day has been fabulous! We ate lobster rolls for lunch and now we are ready to throw some lobsters in the pot. Lobster twice in one day! Yum yum! We visited this lighthouse in a town called Cape Elizabeth. It was beautiful! The water was the deepest blue I have ever seen. I wish you all were here with me. You definately are all here in spirit. I love you all!

And he's out.

Emmet made it until 6:30 EST

Maine Morning

SICK IN JUNE?

Hello, this seems a little strange for all of us Larson's to be sick in June. I know it really doesn't matter the season, but it is extra gross to have a head cold when its 105 outside. At least when it's winter, you can cozy up with some noodle soup. I hope everyone sleeps better tonight... Bemy, Cara, Janna.... and I guess the consensus is just to drive to Santa Barbara for the day. I am totally on board with that because gas alone will cost billions. I had a brief little spell where I thought we all had money or something. But nothing beats the Krog's house... that is a vacation in and of itself. The drive wont be too bad... kids can sleep in the car. I can't wait to go to the beach and see everyone though. Maybe next year we can plan to rent a beach house and maybe even Lu can join us? ... just a small dream of mine. Let's do it! Cara, could you put that on your vision board?

Mom's Mac

I stopped by mom's tonight to check out her new Mac. I knew it would be good, but it literally took my breath away. She is a beauty! I told mom she officially does not live alone anymore. The Mac moved in as her new roommate. I am going to start my vision board tomorrow and the Mac is going on.

My BFF Has Left...

Well, the day did finally come, Erik actually did move to Arizona. I'm so sad to have lost my BFF (Best Friend Forever). This was our last supper at my favorite spot, Xetava Gardens, on our favorite couch where we would always dine. Anyway, Girls, you will be seeing more of me. TJMaxx anyone? The Maxx can fix any broken heart! I'll just replace Erik with a new to-die-for bag:)

Heaven

Ahhhh Zion!

Relaxing !

Bemy was helping Emmet climb trees

Picnic at the Park

Mother Earth Statue
What happened to Lu's Blog???? Anyone?

WHAT A BUST

What a bust. The one day I had something fun to do Anika got sick. Poor thing. She has a fever and is very irritable. She did a little better today after some Tylenol and just went down for nap... thank goodness. Bemy, Janna, and Emmet went to Zion and I was to accompany them. Instead I had to stay here in my utter isolation. We did make it to the P.O. and the shop and then Anika had a long, warm bath. That's what happens with kids when you make plans. Better luck next time.

No Crypto Utah Commercial

This commercial makes me laugh so hard. I want to sign me and Anika up for "mommy and me" swimming but I'm worried about the crypto. I think I'll go for it but only if THIS GUY isn't at the pool!

I THINK THIS SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

jimmy john's

first, i'm sure everyone remembers how alex liked the number 666... he thought it was funny because it's supposed to represent satan. i don't think he believed that, but since the number had that connection, he thought it was funny.
second, i was not having a good day, so i asked alex to stop by during the day and visit me if he wasn't too busy.
third, i was at jimmy john's and i ordered the #5 and a bag of chips. my total came to $6.66. hmmm? can that just be coincidence?
so now we have 2 jimmy john's blogs with janna's gall stone blog sandwiched in between. i know at least one person is laughing.
